Located in the historical and picturesque city Hangzhou, Zhejiang University has an established history of academic reputation, and is among the first batch of "First-Class Universities" approved by the Ministry of Education in China. The Department of Nursing Studies at Zhejiang University was established in 1988, and now it has the right to grant Master and Doctorate degrees. Zhejiang University has established the Institute of Nursing Research in March 2018. The Nursing faculty at Zhejiang University prioritizes the cultivation of individuals and moral values as the fundamental goal of nursing education; it emphasizes the top-level design of first-class disciplines, and attaches its importance to the introduction of nursing talents both national and international-wide. In order to further strengthen the nursing faculty’s international academic reputation, we sincerely welcome nursing intelligences to join the Institute of Nursing Research, at School of Medicine, Zhejiang University. A.      Lecturer (Teaching and Research)

Eligibility Requirements:

1.      The applicant must hold a Doctoral Degree in a nursing-related discipline; has oversea-learning and work experience, and has published at least one paper in SCI journals;

2.      The applicant should be passionate about nursing teaching and research; has rigorous scholarship attitude, and a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork spirit;

3.      The applicant should be adept at communicating in both reading and writing in English

4.      The applicant must be in good health and under the age of 35.

2. The university provides residences as well as partial housing subsidies for the lecturers.

BAssociate Professor and Professor

Eligibility Requirements:

1. The applicant is passionate about nursing research and teaching; has rigorous scholarship attitude, and a conscientious, strong sense of responsibility;

2. The applicant must hold a Doctoral Degree in a nursing-related discipline; has oversea learning and work experience, and has already published at least one competitive academic paper in SCI journals;

3. The applicant’s proposed research projects meet the requirement of the nursing department at Zhejiang University;

4. The applicant has independently supervised one or more postgraduates during his or her current post.

5. The applicant should be in good health; under the age of 40 for associate professorship, and under the age of 45 for professorship.

CDistinguished Professor

Eligibility Requirements:

The positions are open to world-renowned nursing scholars with outstanding research backgrounds in the field of nursing science. The applicant must have worked as Professor in national or international prestigious universities or research institutes. Typically, the age limit for applicants shall not exceed 55 years of age, and he or she is able to lead and develop innovative research.

Related Benefits:

1.      Salary, welfare and allowance will be discussed individually with a mutual agreement;     

2.      The applicant is eligible for purchasing one Property which is special prepared for the Distinguished Professor by Zhejiang University.    

3.    The university will provide research fund. The applicant can recruit an assistant, whose salary will be paid from the research fund of the applicant.   

D. Foreign Experts

1.        The applicant should hold a Doctoral Degree in a world-renowned oversea university, with two or more years experiences in teaching and research;

2.        With an outstanding contribution to their own discipline, the applicant is eligible for applying to all of the above-listed positions.

3.        If the foreign expert without Chinese ethnicity background, the requirements for scientific research projects can be flexible, as long as they play an important role in teaching development and international collaboration.

4.        The age limit is flexible for Professors with important international influence in nursing discipline, but shall not exceed 70 years of age.
