September 14th , the delegation from Faculty of Medicine, University of British Columbia visited Zhejiang University School of Medicine. The delegation includedProf. Dermot Kelleher, the dean of Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Robert McMaster, the Executive Associate Dean in Research and Prof. Peter Leung, a professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Prof. Shumin Duan, the Dean of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, Prof. Zhi Chen, the Executive Dean, Prof. Zhouwen Chen, the Associated Dean and Prof. Hong Zhang, the Assistant of the Dean played the host.
The two institutes have long term collaboration in medical students exchanging program, residency training program and clinical researchers exchanging program. The Joint Research Center for Reproductive Medicine which was co-built by the two instituteswas found in 2009. The main purpose for this visit was to deepen the collaboration in scientific research and the joint Ph.D. program.
After the meeting, the delegation also played a tour to Center of Neuroscience, Institute of Translational Medicine and the Affiliated Woman’s Hospital.
