May 18th, Prof. Doris Young who is the vice dean, Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry & Health Science, University of Melbourne visited Zhejiang University School of Medicine. CHEN Zhi who is the executive dean, CHEN Zhouwen who is the associate dean in charge of international affairs and OUYANG Hongwei who is the dean of School of Basic Medical Sciences played host to Prof. Young.
Zhejiang University and University of Melbourne signed an official collaboration contract this February, and the main purpose of Prof. Young’s visit was to discuss about the details of the collaboration. At the end of the discussion, the two sides reached initial collaboration intention towards clinical electives program, summer school program, joint education program in public health and students exchange program in Pediatrics. To deepen the collaboration in the field of medicine, a delegation of Zhejiang University is planning to pay a return visit to University of Melbourne in the coming August and September. After the discussion, Prof. Young also had a tour to the Medical PET Center.
