On Nov. 26th 2015, a delegation of Zhejiang University School of Medicine (ZUSM) visited the University of Melbourne, and the two schools reached a preliminary intent on collaboration. On Feb 27th 2016, the delegation of the University of Melbourne and Victorian Government paid a return visit to Hangzhou. The two schools signed an official contract of collaboration in the area of medical education, scientific research and clinical medicine, and Jing Yang who is the director of Zhejiang Province Health and Family Planning Commission and Jill Hennessy who is minster of Ministry of Health of Victorian Government witnessed the process. The delegation showed their willingness to build longer and deeper collaboration with ZUSM, and they are planning to pay another visit to ZUSM this May to talk about the details of collaboration. The Victorian Government wishes to promote its public health system by the collaborations between medical schools.
