2015 is another year of good harvesting in which Zhejiang University School of Medicine gained a pleasant result in the application of NSFC (Nature Science Foundation of China). The number as well as the amount of the approved foundations were ranked the top one in the university in the tenth consecutive year, and the total number of the approved foundations has been kept 200 or even more. In the year of 2015, Zhejiang University School of Medicine applied 960 NSFC projects and 232 of them were able to be approved, and the approval percentage is 24% which takes 32% of the total number in the whole university. The amount of the approved foundation is 124.88 million which takes 28% of the total approved amount of the foundations.

In the recent years, Zhejiang University School of Medicine has been making a lot of efforts and subsequently achieved remarkable effect in cultivating renovating talents, building superior subjects as well as strengthening the innovation ability. Among the approved projects, the number of the applied and approved Surface Project and National Science Foundation for Young Scholars of China was decreasing due to the limitation of application requirement; however, the number of the applied and approved key and major projects was increasing. There were 124 Surface Project got approved, and the amount the fund was 72.02 million; there were 90 projects supported by the National Science Foundation for Young Scholars of China were approved, and the amount of the fund was 16.328 million; there were 5 key projects got approved which takes 27% of all the such approved projects in the university, and the amount of the approved fund was 13.93 million; 4 National Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists were approved which takes 22% of all the such approved projects in the university, and the amount of the fund was 5.2 million; 3 major international cooperative projects got approved which takes 15% of such approved projects in the university, and the amount of the fund was 7.05 million; 1 national major science instrument exploration project was approved which was the only such approved project in the university, and the fund of the project was 5.693717 million; 1 key project of the key research plan was approved a fund of 2.8 million. In addition, 2 Oversea and Hong Kong & Macao Scholars Collaborated Researching Fund got approved, and the amount of the fund was 360 thousand; 2 Training Program of the Major Research Plan of the National Natural Science Foundation of China were approved, and the amount of the fund was 1.5 million. 

Among all the approved projects, The First Affiliated Hospital had 51 projects, the Second Affiliated Hospital had 78 projects, Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital had 23 projects, the Affiliated Women’s Hospital had 9 projects, the Affiliated Children’s Hospital had 12 projects, the Affiliated Dental Hospital had 2 projects, School of Basic Medical Science had 40 projects, School of Public Health had 8 projects, Institute of Genetics had 1 project, Translational Medical Research Institute had 12 projects, the cooperated hospitals had 2 projects, and the co-facility had 1 project.
