The delegation from University of Gothenburg, Sweden, visited Zhejiang University School of Medicine on May 27, 2010. The members of delegation include Dr. Pam Fredman, Vice-Chancellor of University of Gothenburg; Dr. Olle Lark, Dean of the Sahlgrenska Academy; Dr. Kajsa Henning Abrahamsson, Associate Dean of the Sahlgrenska Academy.

University of Gothenburg is a comprehensive university and enjoys a high reputation in Europe. Last year, Dr. Olle Lark visited Zhejiang University School of Medicine in March, and the two institutes planed to cooperate in the future. Dr. Duan Shumin, Dean of Zhejiang University School of Medicine welcomed guests from Sweden; Dr. Huang He gave a brief introduction of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. Dr. Olle Lark presented the history, education and scientific research development in the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. The two sides exchanged ideas and shown great interest and willingness to cooperate further in the schools of pharmacy, dental and nursing education, especially the student exchange programs. Finally, Dr. Duan Shumin and Dr. Olle Lark, on behalf of the two schools signed a memorandum of cooperation for future exchanges and cooperation. The delegation also visited the anatomy and pathology teaching labs, and the neurobiology research laboratory.
