BD started its direct operations in Mainland China in 1994, when it opened its first representative office in Beijing and its second office in Shanghai in 1995. In the same year, BD also set up a production plant in Suzhou industrial zone producing IV catheter. In 2005, BD started to build a second manufacturing plant in Suzhou, to produce rapid diagnostic test kits to address the demand for rapid flu tests. Today, BD enjoys a strong position in China’s healthcare equipment and diagnostics markets. Currently the BD China organization has more than 2000 associates, deployed in one headquarters, two plants, 12 representative offices, and around 100 cities. Position: 2012 Management Trainee
